Anchor Lead

Today at the White House Michelle Obama hosted the annual Black History month celebration. (Anchor pitch): We have reporter Scott Pastorick standing by to tell us more.

Body of Story

This year Michelle Obama celebrated Black History month by inviting famous female African American dancers, Debbie Allen, Judith Jamison and Fatima Robinson, along with 51 local DC students to perform in recognition of the impact that women and dance has had on the African American culture. The 51 students had the pleasure of working with the dance stars for several hours, preparing to perform at the White House for Michelle Obama and guest. Here is what the First Lady had to say about dance.

Bite from Michelle Obama

Absolutely love it, I think it is probably my favorite art form

Reporter again:

I think we all know the First Lady’s love for dance is a deep passion of hers. She show us that on the Ellen DeGeneres Show when she showed Ellen how to groove to the “Uptown Funk.”
